Events at Scarlets are quite popular with our guests, you can of course attend anytime of year as Blackpool is an event in itself all year round these days, we do accompany our Scarlets guests out to the bars no matter what night of the week, so you will never be on your own unless you want to be.
Here is a list of a few social events planned for this year, check back again as we will add more as time goes on.
Easter weekend Friday 30th March.
Early May bank holiday Friday 4th May (bank holiday Monday 7th).
Rocky horror sing-a-long at the fabulous art deco Regent cinema, Saturday 5th May 2018. We did this to the theatre a year or so back and it was a great weekend, booked 37 tickets and fab fun. Dressing up in theme is normal for this event of course, everyone does!
Late May bank holiday Friday 25th May (bank holiday Monday 28th ).
Blackpool pride festival is the weekend of Saturday 9th June 2018. All free unlike many pride events.
Armed forces week: Monday 25th June to Sunday 1st July 2018 (see next entry for a night out dressed up). A whole week of events around the town, more details closer to the date but for now here is a website link:
Scarlets 40’s theme night Saturday 30th June ( Saturday at end of armed forces week here in Blackpool), dress in uniforms or stylish civilians! Could be "Allo Allo" if you like, was very popular last year and a lot of fun. Get sorting your outfits in plenty of time and you can get some real bargains, I did a white RAF nurses dress and it cost just £20 or so with all the accessories, (brand new from ebay). This year I think my outfit will be a WRAFs uniform (just the hat left to get).
Sparkle Manchester weekend, stay in Blackpool and take a daytrip by rail accompanied on Saturday 6th July, back in time to enjoy Blackpools nightlife without the over-powering odour of the Sparkle crowds in the Canal St bars on the Saturday night.
Tram Sunday 15th July, annual tram and vintage vehicle rally at Fleetwood.
Blackpool airshow Saturday 11th August & Sunday 12th.
Late Summer bank holiday weekend 27th August.
Illuminations 31st August-4th November 2018, Switch on festival 31st August.
The World fireworks championships, every Friday evening in September starting 7th to 28th.
Scarlets Halloween night Saturday 27th October, lots of "Ghoulish" goings on.....many witches & glam Vampires for sure. Town will be full of people all dressed for the part.
Scarlets annual Christmas do Saturday 15th December, always a fun Christmassy theme weekend with lots of super Ms Claus's and lots of Christmas outfits (optional as not everyone likes going out in fancy dress).
New Year celebration Monday 31st December, a fab get together as you would expect.
